Top 5 Menswear Stores in Houston | Best Men’s Clothing Boutiques In Houston, Texas

Houston isn’t typically celebrated for menswear and style, unless you’re looking for cowboy hats and cowboy boots (which I love by the way).

But when it comes to European, vintage, dapper, or urban styles, a lot of people may not know about the hidden gems in this amazing city.

When you find these diamonds in the rough, you will quickly see that Houston’s fashion is not far behind that of NYC or LA.

Without further ado, these are my top 5 picks for men’s fashion stores in Houston, in no particular order:

#1 Manready Mercantile | 321 West 19th Street, Houston, TX 77008

When looking for vintage clothing, look no further than Manready Mercantile. Located in the heart of the Heights, originality is the definition of this store.

You will find pieces in here that are rarely seen on anyone else.  This store is a man cave haven when you walk in.

Berlin, the store manager, makes a mean Old-Fashioned while you search for vintage and modern pieces alike.

#4 Rye 51 | 2800 Kirby Drive, Houston, TX 77098

“Timeless, refined, and modern,” said Taylor, a noted stylist at Rye 51, when asked to describe the store in three words.

I couldn’t agree more.  If you are looking for a timeless and classic menswear store, look no further than Rye 51. If you want pretty girls to help style you and look your best, then this is the place to be.

Located in Upper Kirby on West Avenue, you can get some classic menswear pieces and then go enjoy a delicious brunch right next door at Pondicheri.

#5 The Classroom | 2534 Amherst Street, Houston, TX 77005

There aren’t many urban-style stores in Houston, but there doesn’t need to be. The Classroom has this niche very well-covered.

Alan and his team have done an amazing job bringing in some of the top urban brands from NYC and LA to Houston.  From Saturdays NYC to Zanerobe, The Classroom is where gentleman meets the street.

Located in Rice Village right across the street from La Madeleine, you can grab some street-style gear and then go get brunch.

Bonus 6th store: Southern Gents

Though their presence can only be appreciated online, Houston’s local online brand, Southern Gents, deserves a bonus shout-out.

They are not a full-blown menswear shop, but rather an affordable men’s accessory online boutique.

Started right here in the heart of Houston, they are a one-stop shop for all things related to men’s accessories. From ties to lapel pins, their style is elegant, classic, top-notch, and affordable.
